Jonah and the Whale
Jonah 2:2
"I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me."
Jonah ran from God and ended up in the deep. Then Jonah prayed, and God answered him.
This design points to mercy in the low place and the God who hears prayers from places we never planned to be.
Jonah reminds me that God can reach people even when they are running the wrong direction.
How to Share This Message
Start with the design. If someone asks about Jonah and the Whale, explain the Scripture behind it in plain words.
Ask a simple question and listen before you answer. Do not rush past the person in front of you.
Point them to Jesus and offer the QR devotional if they want to keep reading.
The Gospel
Jesus is the greater rescue. He came for runners, sinners, skeptics, and people who know they cannot save themselves.
We were made for relationship with God, but sin separates us from Him. Jesus came near, died for sinners, and rose again. Anyone who trusts Him can be forgiven, made new, and brought home to God.
A Prayer to Begin
God, I know I cannot save myself. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again. Forgive me, make me new, and help me follow You. Amen.
